It felt so different to see Fakir all day, every day. Kinkan Academy had let out several divisions for the summer, the ballet division included. Ahiru, once again a duck since Mytho and Rue had returned back to the story, had grown accustomed to being left alone with Uzura and Charon while Fakir went to the Academy. She saw him during the evenings, as he no longer boarded there, but it was still a pleasent change to see him all day.
Fakir, also, was noticeably happier, not having to leave the house all the time to go to classes at the Academy. He was content to spend the warm days with Ahiru on the lake, watching here swim as he wrote, careful not to write anything that could upset the peace everyone had worked so hard for. He smiled more often, and thought nothing of being seen around town with a small, yellow duckling, and a noisy child banging on a drum trailing at his heels.
Uzura was overjoyed to be able to spend all summer with Fakir and Ahiru. It had taken Fakir some time to convince Uzura that no amount of water would make Ahiru human again. She was, at first, extremely disappointed, but had begun to share in everyone's happiness as the sun beat down on the town. She played with Ahiru and Fakir every day, in perfect bliss.
